Bates dominated, displaying great hands over the middle of the field and flashing his ability to be a big target defenses have to account for. Very good leaping ability who uses his length to high-point the ball. Big bodied target with long arms and legs. He is likely a slot receiver in high school depending on how he grows. While he is short at 4-foot-8, he still has many years of developing left to go. He has good burst off the LOS for his size and quickly presses the field vertically. Dabner has a quick release and flashes a good arm. He can put mustard on the ball over the middle of the field. He throws with great accuracy and velocity fitting the ball into tight windows, and displays good touch on deep passes. Throws a good ball in the back-corner of the EZ allowing easy adjustment for receivers. He had a dominant opening game on Sunday morning, snagging a touchdown. He can leap over defenders well, tracks the ball in the air and can easily catches over defenders.
