About Ian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My game style is based on my speed and explosiveness off the ball. I find the ball and go.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When I’m off the field I’m known as the gentle giant, but once I step on the field nice guy goes away. I play hard start to finish.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received awards for my grades and I play the guitar in a small rock lab group that’s involved around 25 other people

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was voted captain on my youth teams along with my 7th and 8th grade teams. I have a very good work ethic and I’m usually one of the first to practice or game and one of the last to leave.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As an only freshman on a varsity team I faced many challenges. For the first time I didn’t have my friends or my usual teammates around me. I was low man on the totem pole but was able to work to make second string and got plenty of playing time. I had a strong support with my new coaches and teammates and felt at home in no time.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking to play the game I love most and that is football. I would love to play football in my home state of Michigan but wouldn’t mind play out in California. I also want a college that will challenge me to succeed in the classroom and on the field.
