A last name that folks in the Mount Rushmore State will surely recognize as Talec is the little brother of Iowa State linebacker Sullivan Schlimgen and one that surely had big rising stock at the SDSU Prospect Camp in the linebacker group. the 6’0 185 pounder ran a 4.37 pro agility and man, the translation of that into his 1v1 reps was evident. Talec was one of the most explosive underclassmen linebackers from the Dakotas in my eyes and clearly is a linebacker that is very coachable, as I felt his reps got even better the more I watched due to his instinctiveness, great ball-tracking, and physicality at the point of attack. He’ll be a sizable jumper out of this 2028 South Dakota class for sure.
