The next two clips have him as the second man in a stack formation. Diers settles down in the middle of the field and delivers chunk plays. He scores on a short dig route from the middle spot in a trips-right formation. It all speaks to Diers broad base of skills and versatility as a receiver. The traits could work in the return game, too, and also in the secondary.     Sioux Center reached the Class 3A state semifinals this past season with Smit delivering important contributions as a sophomore. He caught 16 passes for 216 yards (13.5 YPC) and a touchdown, collect 8.5 tackles, five of which were solo stops, and averaged 13.5 yards on six kick returns. Smit is an advanced route runner for his age, regularly achieving separation from the defensive back with crisp cuts and the ability to sell deception. It's a projectable frame capable of adding plenty of good weight in a college strength and conditioning program without the loss of speed or agility. It's a set of skills also capable of working on special teams.     Matsen was credited with a pair of pancake blocks as a sophomore on an offensive line that helped Iowa City West reach the postseason again. If you're looking for a breakout pick for this upcoming season, the Trojan junior-to-be would be an excellent selection. There's a ton of potential here with athleticism, agility and a projectable frame with plenty of room to fill out as he matures and then enters into a college strength and conditioning program. What is there provides a view of a young offensive lineman with a good feel for playing the position. One clip features him delivering a combo block for a long gainer. There's balance and quickness that allows for blocking out in space. Matsen finishes blocks and flashes potential in pass protection.     Kasperbauer shined in all three phases as a sophomore for an Audubon team that reached the UNI-Dome in 2025. He rushed for 858 yards (10.1 YPC) and 15 touchdowns. Kasperbauer caught 10 balls for 68 yards and a score, and added six two-point conversions. On defense, he recorded 40.5 tackles, 27 of which were solo stops, with 1.5 tackles for loss. Kasperbauer recovered a fumble and intercepted four passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He averaged 24.5 yards on four kick returns. The first clip features him lining up as the deep man on the eight-player defense and coming downhill to de-cleat the ball carrier, who does not get up quickly. Kasperbauer rips off a long scoring run on the second clip, when he takes the handoff and runs wide before cutting it upfield, outrunning the defenders to the end zone. It's a tape filled with big plays that should put him on the radar of coaches at the next level. He's fast and physical, which plays on both sides of the ball and special teams.     Thompson developed his game on the sophomore team in 2025 in one of the state's top programs for producing next-level talent. It's definitely a place where most folks wait their turn. That could be arriving for Thompson this coming fall if his <a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22497443/695ff1ded856f9ca4a4336b8" id="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22497443/695ff1ded856f9ca4a4336b8">10th-grade highlight video</a> is any indication. The reported 4.6-second, laser-timed, 40-yard dash tracks when watching the film. On the first clip, Thompson gets behind the defensive back, adjusts to an under-thrown ball, breaks a tackle and races 95 yards for a touchdown. It's a well-rounded skill set at the wideout position. Thompson looks crisp in running various routes on the tree. He can go over top of the opponent for contested catches, beat them deep, take a short pass and make people miss in space, and haul in the ball in traffic across the middle of the field. Thompson looks like a breakout prospect for 2026, one that also could contribute as a return man.
