“Gilbert is a talented pocket passer who thrives on his processing, decisiveness, and confidence with his passing. He makes good decisions and has great timing in the pocket, quickly scanning the field and finding the open man before pressure arrives nearly every snap.

When it comes to his arm, Gilbert has impressive accuracy and can fit the ball into tighter windows in between and outside of the numbers, especially in the intermediate portions of the field. I’m just as impressed with how he performs under pressure. He’s a tough guy to bring down and can make some really great plays when things look broken. All of these traits let Gilbert find a ton of success last year. I’m excited to see what’s ahead for him in 2026.”

Columbia is in a great spot with Gilbert leading their offense. He’s a talented passer who could break out this upcoming season- we’re all going to have to watch.
