Happy Tuesday! We're working through the best receivers in the RDU area as part of our county deep dives series. After looking at the quarterbacks and running backs in Alamance, Chatham, and Lee Counties last week, I'm turning to a strong wide receiver group in those counties. Is it the best position group in the region? You be the judge

Petrarca is one of the best receivers in the state and was the clear go-to guy, even against consistently rolled and double coverages. He has some explosion to his game and took some routine catches for huge gains. The only guy on this list to top 1,000 yards last year takes the top spot.

I remember being impressed with Luang-Sy when he was about three years younger and six inches shorter. But I didn't know at the time that he'd eventually grow into a player capable of being physical with defenders and strong at the catch point. He's retained plenty of quickness, and he excels after the catch for a Southeast Alamance offense that loves to throw.

Hinchman got off to one of the hottest starts in the state, with over 130 yards and at least one touchdown in three of his first four games. After that, he battled injuries and struggled to make a huge impact. If he can play at 100% this season, 1,000 yards or double-digit touchdowns are very possible.

McMillan was a fantastic secondary option for the Stallions last season. Despite his size, McMillan is both productive over the middle of the field and difficult to bring down without strong form tackling. His speed causes plenty of issues for defenses, and he's frequently able to create explosive plays.

Clark has a really unique playing style, and I like it. He's sudden like a smaller player, but simultaneously plays bigger than his size. He attacks the ball when it's in the air and usually knows what he's going to do after the catch. He put up solid numbers on an offense that was inconsistent in the passing game and is the only returning receiver with over six catches for the Eagles.

Torres had almost 45% of Northwood's catches last season, hauling in 40 balls for just over 500 yards and scoring eight total touchdowns. He excelled as a safety blanket. With reliable hands and a feel for how to get open, Torres was one of the best players on the field for Northwood.

Just a freshman last year, Hadley was a bright spot for the Cavaliers. Cummings has produced some quality wideouts in the past, and Hadley looks like the next in line. He'll have more opportunities after the leading receiver graduates in 2026.
