A physical, two-way prospect flying under the radar in Fayetteville, Duru is a hard-hitting linebacker who can tunr around and run through defenders at running back. The strong, tackle-breaking back stands at 6-foot-1 225-pounds and was tough to tackle all season long, rushing for 510 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense, picking up big yards after contact as the season went on. Defensively, the powerful linebacker made 74 big tackles and two forced fumbles to go along with one fumble recovery and another pass-breakup in coverage. He’s one of the top two-way prospects in the region who has earned offers this spring from Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, among others.

Duru plays at Whitewater High in Fayetteville, and as a junior last year Duru showed he’s one of the more physically gifted runners in the region.
