Key New Additions To The 2028 Indiana Class Rankings

The 2028 class rankings update is live with a huge new update! Today, we're taking a look at a handful of key new additions to the class rankings and what they bring to the table.    Brooks is an incredibly talented outside receiver with good length and hands. He's got little wasted movement at the line and can blow by defenders. He's got a good second gear, and down the field, he has elite ball skills. He's able to elevate and make high-point grabs, even deep in the redzone. I like his field awareness and ability to get both feet down. He had 33 grabs for 401 yards and 6 TDs on the season, which caught the eyes of Kent State, which became his first D1 offer.     Ralph is a talented upcoming interior lineman who is well-coached, plays with good pad-level, and has a good base. He keeps his feet chopping and never gets stagnant. He's got good handplacment and can slide his feet to move in phase with his defender. He's good in pass protection and in the running game, both in zone and going on the move. He started at both LG and Center while having success. He's versatile and strikes me as someone who will play a lot of football at the next level.     Hunter is a versatile athlete with good range and instincts in the backend. He's not afraid of contact and will lay his body on the line. His body control and ability to bend are fantastic, which helps him all over the field. He can get off blocks, come downhill, and play the run. He's aggressive with the ball in the air and can bat it down. He's got decent ball skills for a Safety as well. His 49 total tackles and 2 interceptions in year 2 have him primed for a big Junior season.     Jones is a 2-way player who has had success on both sides of the ball. He's just a good natural athlete with good range and acceleration. On offense, he's got decent ball skills and is good with the ball in his hands. He's good in the screen game and can make something out of nothing. Defensively, he glides all over the field and has good closing speed. He doesn't hesitate and trusts what he sees. He's well-coached, and it shows time and time again. Year 2 saw him put up 301 receiving yards and 2 TDs on offense, with 47 tackles and 5 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball over his last 15 games.     Gurnic is a good back who is likely vastly underrated. He runs hard, with good pad level, and has good contact balance. He's able to bounce off some hits, keeps his momentum, and oftentimes takes multiple guys to bring him down. He's got decent top-end speed and can get to the edge. He's also got good hands and can be a threat out of the backfield. He finished year 2 with 929 rushing yards and 18 grabs for 234 yards with 15 total touchdowns in just 11 games.     Reihl rotated in for the varsity team this year and had his moments, showing he belongs and can make plays. He plays hard and has a good motor. He's fairly relentless and won't take snaps off. I always appreciate high-effort guys because you can't coach it. He's got the talent, and the frame is starting to catch up. He's got a really quick first step off the line and gets into the space of a lineman before their set. He's constantly getting into the backfield and creating pressure and making TFLs. I think there's a chance he has a huge junior season and takes off.     Eldridge has the frame and athletic ability to flourish and become a highly sought-after recruit. The length coming off the edge is ideal, and he's got the burst off the line. He plays hard and will run plays down from behind. He has the ability to disrupt gameplans and speed up the mental clock for the QB. He's able to bend and dip underneath blocks and then has the strength to take them head-on. He'll help contain the edge and limit outside lanes. He finished the year fairly productive with 70 total tackles, 5 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.     McKinney is a dynamic back who is constantly finding lanes and gashing the defense for chunks at a time. He's a one-cut runner who will stick his foot in the ground when he sees a crease and get upfield. He's got good speed and breaks the long run as well, and typically won't be caught from behind. He started the season a bit slow but really took off over the first 4 games. He ended the year averaging over 7 yards per carry and finished with 1009 yards and 9 TDs. Over the final 3 games, he rushed for just under 400 yards and had 5 TDs. He was really starting to blossom, and hopefully, he can roll that into next year.     Holland is a developing defensive back with good instincts near the line. He plays hard and is aggressive in the running game. He can make open field tackles and does a good job tracking the inside hip. He comes to balance and won't break down. He helps fill gaps in the running game and isn't afraid of contact. He's willing to jam receivers at the line and fight through their block attempts to get near the ball to make a play. He's got the speed and ability to run to stay in phase in coverage, and as his technique catches up, he'll be more proficient. He ended the year with 34 tackles and 3 TFLs.
