It didn’t take long at all to establish who was the best wide receiver in attendance at the SMSU Prospect Camp on Friday afternoon, as that nod goes to Apple Valley 2027 Xavier Holden Xavier Holden 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Apple Valley | 2027 MN who is another Minnesota target that walked out with his first offer from the Mustangs. His change of direction he displayed getting into the open field was surely eye-catching as his timing and elusiveness were locked in to winning several reps during 1v1s in Marshall. He showed off a very quick release at the top of his routes as Xavier was one that relished the attention to detail with his route-running and during the testing period, was very tight and agile around the cones and I really liked how this young man finished every rep he had on Friday. Xavier is surely 2027 wide receiver prospect that should move up our 2027 board in Minnesota based on the live eval we got in Marshall.

The rising senior hoops for an AV bball team that qualified for state this past week, showing some real scoring ability in the prep basketball ranks of Minnesota, and he’s got some good stuff going for him on the gridiron as well. Holden can drop his hips and break down well at the top of the route and is slippery after the catch, able to gain extra yardage for his offense by slipping and stepping through weaker attempts at his lower body, and he also showed off some impressive body control and situational awareness in a toe-tapping sideline snag of a Q Barnslater Q Barnslater 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Apple Valley | 2026 State MN pass while on the run.
