Gavin Johnson Gavin Johnson 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Riverdale | 2027 State TN is a receiver prospect with explosive playmaking ability that thrives at attacking defenses vertically.

He has good size at six-foot, but will need to add weight to his frame that currently holds 160-170 pounds entering his senior season.

He is an explosive playmaker that is excellent at stretching defenses and can win downfield from both the slot and the perimeter.

From the slot, he utilizes his acceleration to work upfield quickly and get behind nickels or safety defenders. When working on the outside, he looks to get in catch-and-run situations over the middle of the field — screens, slants and corner routes.

He should be able to add to his frame without losing his explosiveness and continue to put vertical pressure on defenses at the next level.

Gavin Johnson Gavin Johnson 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Riverdale | 2027 State TN is an intriguing new-age slot receiver prospect for the next level with his good frame, natural movement ability and YAC ability.

He is slender as he stands around 160-170 pounds, but he has a strong six-foot frame that he can add a lot of weight upon with a strength staff at the next level and that will only boost his already excellent ability to get yards after contact.

He is highly effective at the second level and kniving through the intermediate of the defense, and following the catch, he immediately puts his head down and can run like a tailback to find the open crease to create extra yardage.

He also played defensive back and showed physicality as a tackler, which could show his potential as a blocker.

He transferred to a Riverdale team with a high-flying passing attack and he could really thrive during his senior season if he commits to taking that next jump forward.
