About Clayton
Expert Analysis
Marcus Henry | Prep Redzone Scout
Gurley was a day one standout at the YAA All American Showcase. The 6-foot-2 target showcased a large catch radius along with impressive body control and athleticism.
Gurley displayed clean footwork during individual drills and consistently created opportunities to make plays in competitive settings. His biggest highlight came during the 1-on-1 portion when he elevated over a defender to secure a contested catch, showing excellent timing and the ability to win 50/50 balls.
With a long, lean athletic frame and natural receiving ability, Gurley is a young prospect to monitor closely heading into the fall season.

Clayton had a strong showing at camp and immediately stood out because of his length and frame potential, projecting to be at least 6’3” by the time he finishes his development. That size alone gives him a clear advantage as a receiver, especially when paired with his ability to move and track the football.
What really shows is potential — Clayton is still growing into his body, but the tools are obvious: size, length, and developing ball skills. As he continues to refine his route detail and add more consistency out of breaks, he has the foundation to become a matchup problem at the receiver position.
