New Jersey Stock Up Showcase: Quarterback Notes, Part II

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a day or two to say "thanks," I was back on the grind. On Saturday, November 29, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Jackson, New Jersey as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The quarterback who might have had the single most impressive throw of the day belongs to [player_tooltip player_id='2066815' first='Tyler' last='Masella']. Still in just his freshman year of high school, Masella was easily able to get the ball out, on a rope, to the far hash with accuracy... Speaking of ball placement, [player_tooltip player_id='910871' first='Anthony' last='Salamone'] did a great job leading his receivers so that they were in position to accrue massive yards after catch. Salamone, now a rising senior, should be mindful to get his feet settled though. Doing so will allow him to throw an improved ball more consistently.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Next time I see him live, I wish to see improved mechanics for [player_tooltip player_id='1398501' first='Elijah' last='Banks']. Banks was capable of getting the ball out deep; however, you can tell it took a lot of him. Banks had to load up and get under the ball to get it out. Relying on his lower half and hip activation more, rather than his shoulder and arm, will enable him to complete those long throws with more ease. Take that to the bank... The only lefty that I caught a look at was [player_tooltip player_id='1402714' first='AJ' last='MacCracken']. MacCracken has a big frame that looks like it can withstand the punishment of a long, grueling season. Better mechanics and follow through will aid him in his pursuit of pressing for his squad's starting job this season.
