Trebley and the Cascade Cadets just won their first state title in school history. This team was just different. They played together, they played hard, and more than anything, they believed. Trebley and the offense came out on fire right away, jumping out to a big lead. Trebley had 2 TDs on the day, 1 through the air and 1 on the ground, which helped lift them over Luers.

Jacobia and the Dragons just ended their state run with a perfect record and a beatdown of Merrillville. They were simply better in every aspect of the game today, which is why they pulled away so easily. Jacobia helped wear them down on the ground. He carried the ball 26 times for 125 yards and scored twice.

Davis has always been incredibly steady and reliable for New Pal, and that was no different today. He's efficient, runs the offense, finds the open man, and creates issues with his legs for the defense. All of that was true again against Merrillville. He ended the evening with just 84 passing yards on 11 attempts, but added 129 yards with his legs and 1 total TD.

Stovall and the 59ers found themselves in the defensive slugfest of the weekend. It wasn't until late on a blocked punt that the 59ers broke through. They got set up on the opposing 40-yard line and took advantage. Stovall scored the game's only points from just a few yards out on a rushing TD right up the middle. The 59ers won 7-0.
