#6 Graham Kapowsin (11-1) @ #2 Lake Stevens (12-0) LAKE STEVENS -3.5

Undefeated Lake Stevens dropped 76 points on a good Moses Lake team that was also undefeated, helping the Vikings move to (12-0) on the year. Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1892954' first='Jayvian' last='Ferrell'] continued his season-long tear going for 255 total yards and 3 TDs. I had GK listed as a 1 1/2 point favorite versus #3 Gonzaga Prep and they got the 42-35 win on the road last week. Sophomore QB [player_tooltip player_id='984855' first='AJ' last='Tuivaiave'], one of the top quarterbacks in the country for his class, put up some ridiculous numbers going 30/34 for 526 yards and 3 TD's. I would expect this to be another shootout and a potential matchup of the future with both teams being relatively young.

#5 Sumner (9-3) @ #1 Puyallup (12-0) PUYALLUP -17.5

The reigning 4A champs Sumner have been playing impressive football since getting trounced 58-22 by Puyallup a few months back. I highly doubt you are going to see this Sumner team down or anywhere close to the 31-0 deficit they faced at half versus the Vikings in that regular season contest.

That being said, Puyallup is incredibly talented and has left no doubt all season long on who the top team in the Northwest is. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='985352' first='Briytan' last='Bailey'] is a 2000+ yard rusher and junior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1188110' first='Michael' last='Pulalasi'] is my leading candidate for State 4A POY. Look for the game to be closer but not within reach.

#3 Eastside Catholic (10-1) @ #2 Mount Tahoma (12-0) EASTSIDE CATHOLIC -9.5

Eastside hasn't played a close football game since it's 24-20 loss to #1 O'Dea two months ago. We will see if not being battle tested makes a difference with Mount Tahoma in a similar situation and not playing a top 10 team all year. They beat a good Lincoln program 42-14 last week for the second time this season, but there is still a lot yet to be determined. Expect a close ball game with Eastside being unlike any other team the T-Birds have seen all year.

#4 Bellevue @ #1 O'Dea (11-1) O'DEA -8

Bellevue played a tough 4A KingCo schedule along with teams like #2 Lake Stevens, which I think could help them prepare for the reigning 3A state champs. O'Dea lost a close one to GK 40-38 to start the year and then beat Eastside Catholic by 4 but really hasn't played anybody other than that. The Irish left no doubt in the title game last year versus Bellevue 38-15 so it will be up to the Wolverines to make a statement.

#5 Central Catholic (10-2) @ #2 Lake Oswego (11-1) LAKE O -10.5

CC pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent memory with their 21-14 win over reigning state champ West Linn last week. The Lions were without a handful of their top athletes, which did make a difference, but credit to the Rams regardless. Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1585700' first='Cole' last='Thomas'] has been unreal all year and should be in the state POY conversation.

Lake Oswego is playing their best ball at the right time beating a very talented Nelson team 31-12. If [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] is healthy and [player_tooltip player_id='1059015' first='Justin' last='Craigwell'] is doing his thing out of the backfield, the Lakers control the clock and the ball game. Last week's X factor was QB [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] running for a season high 148 yards. CC will likely do everything they can to stop the run and make Kurland beat them through the air.

#3 Silverton (11-1) @ #1 Summit (12-0) SUMMIT -2.5

The Foxes played maybe their best game of the year in the 35-21 win over Mountain View last week, with WR [player_tooltip player_id='770007' first='Logan' last='Uitto'] continuing to kill it and QB [player_tooltip player_id='1687846' first='Chase' last='Dominguez'] putting an exclamation point on his breakout campaign. This was not the team that lost to Lebanon a month ago.

Summit and IMC Offensive POY [player_tooltip player_id='1358896' first='Andrew' last='Guthrie'] are undefeated but very beatable with close playoff wins over West Albany and Churchill. If we are comparing common opponents, they beat Mountain View 21-14 in week 4. I expect this game to be extremely close and potentially decided in the final few minutes.
