The 6'0 240 defensive tackle was an eater in the middle gaps for trhe Rockets, logging the second highest tackle total in the 9-man state champinoship game for the Rockets which is impressive for a defensive tackle. He's got a lot of fluidity in his moves off the snap and is a thumper when he makes contact with the ball carrier. Another defenisve linemen that was top-tier for tackles and lead the Loboes in sacks (2) in the game as well. Preston has gotten much more agile whene his moves going downhill from the last live eval I got and is one that mades his presence known once he hits that backfield. He showed off consistent pad-level in his offensive line reps and showed the ability to angle block when needed which was a intriguing skillset I didn't expect to see. I was intigued by how well he got into the second level showing off constant good-firing first step. The 6'4 190 pounder has frame to grow surely, but the length at times showed to be overpowering getting into the backfield around shorter-armed offensive takcles. I also felt his pass-rush moves had good upside and athleticism to boot. What impressed me most was how sound his short-area vision was within A and B-gaps as Breckin was a quick closer within that inside box. He showed off pummelling hands on the Cardinals offensive line as on particular rep he showed off excellent violence, pad-level, and finish ability that resonated with him offensively. Defensively, Colten also showed off the speed he can have with his 6'3 195 pound frame with getting off with his hands.
