A couple years ago, Jobe hadn’t given much of a thought to playing football, as first <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwii2ZKa_5fzAhW6RTABHcIkCOAQFnoECCUQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oklahoman.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fhigh-school%2Ffootball%2F2021%2F09%2F03%2Foklahoma-high-school-football-bai-jobe-flourishes-for-community-christian%2F5650580001%2F&usg=AOvVaw2tKLUNos4E5ZmUt6tUY-Me">reported</a> by <em>The Oklahoman’s </em>James Jackson.
Indeed, the four-star junior edge has burst onto the recruiting scene in the past calendar year, but many don’t realize just how good he is on the basketball court, too.
<img class="size-medium wp-image-171077 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/07/Bai-Jobe-6-crop-5938x3899-1626355140-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" />Following his freshman year at Community Christian in Norman, Jobe was invited to and attended Team Griffin’s Closed Session in Oklahoma City, where the then-incoming-sophomore showcased his versatile skillset against national prospects from California, Texas, and other states. The camp was invitation-exclusive, hence the name, with only 40 players attending.
He can legitimately score at multiple levels, even knocking down long-range triples out of the dribble on a couple occasions at the camp. As you can guess by watching Jobe terrorize quarterbacks, he has unique power and speed, moving remarkably nimbly for a player of his stature from the wing into the interior. Jobe finished well against contact at the session, even against ranked post players.
Athletically, Jobe has serious bounce, too, and this is where his game really comes together. Especially from the corner or wing, Jobe is not the type of player to whom you want to allow a first step, because after that, it only takes a dribble, maybe -- <em>maybe -- </em>two to get inside, and from there your best option is to move out from in front of the train.

Offensively, managing Matteson is a simple task: give him the ball and let him go to work. That’s why you’ll see so many plays designed for Matteson to catch a screen or bubble and hit the turf. It’s not too different for Matteson on the basketball court, either. Give him the ball with space to make a move, and he’ll find a way to put the ball in the hole.
Matteson is also a track standout.

Starks shocked 5A football in an excellent week-one performance against McGuinness, when Starks recorded three touchdowns as the Tigers upset the Irish, who bounced Coweta nine months prior in the state semifinal game.
If you’ve seen Starks’s highlight-worthy crossover, you know he’s uber-shifty, but that’s only amplified in the open space of a football field. Anytime Starks can make the first defender miss, it’s almost a given that he’ll break off for a big gain. Thanks to his speed, a notch above his competition’s, he can escape clusters and get downhill in a hurry.
Defensively, Starks is intuitive, careful, and often displays his athleticism in hawking down passes before leaping to meet them. In spite of his compact frame, Starks is very efficient in competing for passes with taller receivers.
It’s not too different on the hardwood, either, as Starks often makes similar defensive plays to edge Coweta past its competition.
