Kjergaard threw for 815 yards, 12 TDs, and 1 INT while rushing for 1547 yards (9.7 YPC) and 35 rushing TDs. He also added 4 INTs on defense with 2 returned for TDs. Kjergaard was a perfect fit for the Wheeler’s diverse run-game, proving agile and shifty outside of the perimeter and blisteringly quick when he gets behind the last line of defense. Kjergaard also proved effective as an accurate passer who often was able to find targets down the field with the secondary caught off guard, though his passing numbers could take a hit with just one receiver with double-digit receptions returning on the team next season.
