Hynes is a huge blocker that stands out physically compared to his teammates, and it's no surprise that his D1-caliber size ended up getting him committing to Northern Iowa back in May. Playing largely at Right Tackle this season, Hynes is a mammoth to go against, but his impressive burst off the snap as well as his ability to kick outside and open his hips showed that he was capable as a pass blocker this season, further boosting his value and potential for the UNI Panthers going forward. Hynes has proven to be one of the few true studs on PEM's team currently.

For Belle Plaine's struggles this season, [player_tooltip player_id='1602778' first='DJ' last='Miller'] has proven himself as a reliable Left Tackle leading the way for the Tigers' O-line. Miller often plow the interior gaps to open run lanes up the middle, and he has the speed and balance to be utilized as a pull blocker and make blocks down the field. Miller proved capable in working toward the second level and attacking the Linebackers and being fluid enough to keep Edge Rushers outside of the pocket. Miller could build some more weight to back up his role as a Tackle at the next level, but Miller's solid work has shown enough to commit to UW-Eau Claire back in August.

Nathan Kaiser has played a huge role manning the middle of Waseca's O-line, and his presence was vital toward the Bluejays' undefeated regular season run. Kaiser had total control of the interior gaps, being able to shove defenders aside and to the ground upon first contact on numerous reps this season. His penchant for pursuing defenders when unblocked to contain them outside the box allowed Waseca to dominate running up the middle as well as allowing his QB to extend the play with a clean pocket. A stout and determined blocker, Kaiser will look to guide Waseca toward a run for the 3A championship over the next few weeks.

With his impressive size at his age, Henry Moore was thrust into the starting lineup as a sophomore as the team's starting Left Tackle, and he immediately proved capable in this role. Being able to jam and twist defenders away from the ball-carrier, Moore excelled in opening up lanes for the team's diverse run-attack, showing strong hands and solid lower-body power to drive defenders back. While his pass protection was inconsistent at times, he will have time to continue developing his mechanics as a blindside blocker. 2025 has given valuable experience for Moore on the trenches and he will be a name that warrants watching going forward in 3A.

While he is a bit small as a Left Tackle, Isaiah Sevcik has stepped up in a big way holding up his QB's blind side this season. Showing fluid movement on the line, Sevcik is able to keep up with shifty edge rushers and hold them outside the pocket, not losing his balance very often. Strong hands, good pad placement, and a steady bend in his extension, Sevcik has solid mechanics as a Tackle, and while he might not fit the position's prototypical size, Sevcik has played a huge role with Albert Lea's massive turnaround this season and is worth taking a look at leading into his senior season.

One of my first articles with Prep Redzone MN covered standout blocker Greg Banaszynski, and over a year since that article was published, his younger brother Mitchell has now stepped up and taken over as a leader on the trenches for Lake City. Serving as the team's Right Tackle, Banaszynski is a solid pull blocker who shows exceptional speed moving on the line, which proved effective in opening up the run for the Tigers. His agility and balance also showed itself in protecting the pocket, kicking to the outside, and rarely letting edge rushers get by him. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Banaszynski should continue to grow as a rock for Lake City's offense through 2026.

Despite his smaller stature, Noah Prose has been a key figure toward Pine Island's stunning success as they've put up an undefeated regular season. A solid Right Tackle with the speed and quick feet to break into the second level and open up a lane down the field, Prose's run-blocking skills proved critical toward the massive season from star RB Nick Thein, who accumulated over 1300 yards on the ground already. Prose often uses his speed to gain leverage with both first contact and by opening his hips to contain for his QB, proving to be a strong pass protector which helped the passing game grow tenfold in 2025. Prose will look to cap his high school career with a state championship as the Panthers continue to build their case as a legitimate contender in 3A going forward.
