Richard Stallworth Richard Stallworth 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Yuma Catholic | 2023 State AZ , 6’2″ 210lbs, Yuma Catholic ’23
Stallworth stepped up and introduced himself last year as a sophomore as to why he is the best 2023 QB in the state. He comes off an eye popping 2020 season throwing for over 3,700 yards and 54 total TD’s with a 135.4 QBR. A definite division 1 talent as he can hit all 3 levels of throws with solid anticipation, timing, and can use velocity or touch. Accurate passer as he had a 67.8% completion percentage in 2020. He sizes up with a solid frame and build with a strong lower half and moves around well in the pocket. Pro-style QB with huge potential and needs to be a 2023 kid to get on your radar ASAP, as he is still looking and deserving of that first offer.
Caden Cantrell Caden Cantrell 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Snowflake | 2022 State AZ , 6’2″ 200lbs, Snowflake ’22
As a first year starter in 2020, Cantrell led Snowflake to a 3A State Championship win over Yuma Catholic. Cantrell sizes up with an athletic frame and build and shows the ability to make decisive reads and get the ball out quick if he needs to. Good arm strength to stretch the field vertically and is accurate with his placement on most throws. Good athleticism as he can extend plays and deliver accurate throws on the move or pick up yards on his feet as well. He holds an offer from New Mexico Highlands, and will have a huge opportunity to raise his stock in 2021.
Cameron Hackworth Cameron Hackworth 5'9" | 160 lbs | QB Sabino | 2024 State AZ , 5’9″ 160lbs, Sabino ’24
Hackworth is a promising upcoming prospect from southern AZ with the ability to be a game changer for the next 3 seasons. Excellent all-around athlete behind center as he has the ability to be a threat with his arm or on the ground as a ball carrier. He possesses solid burst, twitch, COD and top end speed to be a big play threat anytime he takes off. He can deliver off platform throws with accuracy and velocity, and does a great job escaping the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. Massive potential for Hackworth to grow his stock throughout his sophomore season.
Adam Damante Adam Damante 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB American Leadership Academy (Gilbert North) | 2023 State AZ , 6’1″ 175lbs, ALA- Gilbert North ’23
Damante backed up standout 2021 QB Jack Ricedorff Jack Ricedorff 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB American Leadership Academy (Gilbert) | 2021 State AZ last season, but stepped up big in the playoffs when he took over the QB1 role after a Ricedorff injury. Damante played several other positions throughout the 2020 season when he wasn’t lined up at QB, as he is a very impressive athlete. Excellent top end speed for big play ability on the ground and is shifty in space to make opponents miss. He proved he can sling it as well as he possesses good arm strength to stretch the field or fit throws in with velocity. He can use velocity or touch, and did a great job proving himself as a passer in the semifinals against Snowflake in 2020.
Jonathan Williams Jonathan Williams 6'1" | 220 lbs | ATH Mohave | 2024 State AZ , 6’1″ 220lbs, Mohave ’24
Williams is a gifted young athlete that can play and excel at nearly any position of the field. Mohave had their first game this past Friday, and Williams popped off as he threw for 162 yards and 4 TD’s, while rushing for 238 yards and 2 TD’s on a 55-36 win over Florence. He possesses excellent burst, COD, and can finish big runs with top end speed. His athleticism gives him a tremendous upside as he continues to mature and develop, and projects to be a breakout player for the next 3 seasons.
Ryan Fontaine Ryan Fontaine 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Pusch Ridge | 2022 State AZ / Hayden Hallett, Pusch Ridge ’22
Fontaine: Pusch Ridge is gifted with two impressive QB’s that both have the potential to be in top 5 QB’s in 3A. Fontaine (5’11” 170lbs) is an impressive escape artist as he frequently shows the ability to extend plays and find receivers downfield or turn into a big play threat when he takes off. He delivers with solid touch on deep balls and has shown to get the ball out quick if he needs to when working the shallow game. Fontaine got the start week 1 against Benson, so it will be interesting to see what plays out the rest of the season.
Hallett: Hallett (6’2″ 170lbs) is a strong pocket passer as he displays a nice pre-snap read to know where he’s going with the ball. He delivers with a smooth release and hits receivers with timing, and does a good job distinguishing whether to use velocity vs touch. He flashes the ability to throw receivers open, and currently holds an offer from Wisconsin River-Falls.
