A versatile, quick reacting linebacker with good size who can really attack the quarterback, Ervin has been a playmaking linebacker off the edge and one of the top overall defenders in the region through the first month of the season. The South Georgia senior has made 40 tackles through his first six games with 11 TFLs and eight sacks. He shed blocks with ease and closes quickly on the ball-carrier and it shows up in the stat sheet. His biggest game so far came against Dougherty where he made nine tackles and three sacks during a big 66-38 victory.
