Fakapulia is an impressive young defensive lineman who combines strength, athleticism, and effort at a high level. He plays fast and physical, consistently creating problems with his ability to penetrate and disrupt plays. His motor stands out, and he already shows strong movement ability for an interior defender. As he continues to mature physically, maintaining that athleticism while adding strength will be key to his development. The upside is significant, and he looks like one of the more promising young linemen in the state.

Fakapulia made his impact felt on both sides of the line of scrimmage, which is rare for a sophomore. He showed advanced strength and motor in the trenches, helping McDaniel up front offensively while also disrupting plays defensively. His versatility and physical presence stood out throughout the season. Fakapulia’s second-team nod on both sides of the ball signals a player who is already becoming a foundation piece.

McDaniel picked up a huge 15–12 road win over Jefferson, and sophomore defensive lineman Fakapulia was a difference-maker. He finished the night with four solo tackles, one assist, and three sacks, constantly disrupting Jefferson’s offense. For a young player, his ability to dominate in the trenches is impressive, and performances like this show why he’s one of the top underclassmen to watch in the PIL.
