Background: Chmaj is a new addition from Niagara-Wheatfield, and the 2028 QB, put together some solid film on JV, and the 7v7 circuit. He is an also an attendee of our Prep Redzone NY Showcase on May 23rd.

Size: Standing at 5’10” he showcases a good frame for a QB, but is on the slimmer side for a QB. His weight is below the chart, and he should look to reach 180-190-Pounds. His height is solid, be he should look to reach 5’11-6’0″.

Arm Accuracy/Strength: He showcases a good arm, with the ability to hit targets at the mid and lower levels of the field with ease. His accuracy on said throws are right on the money, and he can lead his receivers on throws. On deep throws we see a solid arm, with the ability to hit throws at that level, but his accuracy can vary, and here is where he should look to improve moving forward.

Footwork/Mechanics: Chmaj has solid footwork, and takes a majority of snaps from the shotgun. I like his ability to get the ball out quick, and he showcases a good zip, and arm angle on his throws. He throws a nice spiral at well, but can work on making it tighter.

IQ: Chmaj has a good understanding of pocket presence, and can move around feeling pressure. He sees the field well, but should continue to work through progressions, and not stare down receivers. He can use his legs, and has solid speed on run plays.

Final Word: Chmaj is a raw young QB, who showcases some solid traits. He has good accuracy and strength on short and mid throws, but should work on his accuracy and talent down the field. He should also look at his mechanics and lightning his spiral and fine tweaking his traits. Chmaj is a growing QB from Upstate.

Chmaj is a new name to the Prep Redzone Community, and will make his first appearance, in the 2028 rankings coming shortly. The 2028 prospect, plays for Niagara-Wheatfield, and had a decent season in 2025. Despite missing out on the playoffs, the 5’10” 150-Pound QB, showcased good anticipation with his throws, and displayed a strong arm, paired with good accuracy. He should look to continue filling out his frame, as he is on the slimmer side with his build, but Chmaj has the ability to ball, and a fresh season with more confidence, can lead to him putting Section 6, and Class A on notice this season.
