Scouting 2027 Offensive Line Class: Stars, Sleepers, and Secrets

The junior season is perhaps the most important year for recruits to put a strong resume on tape for college coaches to see and evaluate their games and the level of prospect they project them to turn into at the next level. In this edition of the series, we take a look at some of the intriguing names to monitor in the state of Tennessee for the 2027 recruiting cycle at the tight end position.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">SCOUTING THE STARS</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1695926' first='Princeton' last='Uwaifo'] is a high-potential tackle prospect with very good length, athleticism, and bend that make his ceiling very high.   He has all the athletic tools to make it work at any level of football and that will be the baseline for his development. His length and athleticism make for a challenging situation for opposing defensive lineman now that the junior has more of a plan pre-snap.   He will need to continue to gain experience and grow more confident in his assignment, thus improving his foot speed in-game, but all the potential is there as he continues to develop quickly. He has all the tools to be a high-impact Power Four offensive tackle.     [player_tooltip player_id='1159814' first='Antonio' last='Keefer'] is an athletic offensive lineman with solid size on the outside and very good size on the inside, where I think he projects best as he will continue to fill out his frame at the college level.   The potential for him is very high as he has the athleticism and length to make plays happen in a variety of ways and with good college coaching, a gem can be unlocked with his skillset.   He has a lot of room to grow, but he has shined in all-star events, including winning the OL MVP at Under Armour Nashville.   This is a prospect that has the skillset to be a highly effective guard/right tackle with more weight and coaching at the next level, and blue-chip programs are beginning to come to that realization.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">SCOUTING THE SLEEPERS</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1674006' first='Luke' last='Burger'] is a lean offensive tackle that wins with his length and athleticism currently, but has the frame to pack on a ton of weight at the next level.   He is very long and plays generally under control, which allows for him to use his long arms and square up his feet to seal off defensive lineman.   He will need to add a lot more strength to be successful at the next level and will fit best in an offense that looks to get the ball out quickly, but he has an exciting baseline of tools that a college offensive line coach can build upon.     [player_tooltip player_id='1154143' first='Ben' last='Hale'] is a offensive lineman with solid size on the outside and very good size on the inside, where I project him to be the best at for the next level.   He is a big, sturdy lineman who won with power previously, but has significantly improved his body over the offseason, which has allowed for him to display the athleticism required to play at right tackle against the schedule his new school faces this season.   As he continues to work on his body and improve his initial athleticism, the ceiling for him as a prospect will only continue to rise, creating sneaky riser potential inside the state. As he faces a very challenging schedule from the right tackle position, he will be someone to keep tabs on this season.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">SCOUTING THE SECRETS</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1158911' first='Isaiah' last='Bryant'] is an offensive tackle prospect with good size and length that wins with his grip strength and strong core, including as he works up to the second level.   His grip strength paired with his length allows for him to stonewall defenders on the perimeter or the second level and create rushing lanes. He has the athleticism to keep defensive lineman out of the pocket and has flashed the ability to be used on the move.   This is your textbook rock-solid tackle prospect. He is big, strong, and can move, all of which have allowed for him to have a level of success against a very strong schedule that should translate to the college level.
