About Max

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

In 1 word: RAW I played flag football up until 5th grade when the Nixa school district joined a youth tackle football league. I was primarily a running back through my sophomore season. 3 weeks prior to my senior season starting I moved to MLB. I felt like I was learning the position quickly but the position is new to me. I will continue to improve as I gain experience.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Off the field I am a fun guy. On the field I am having fun hitting the ball carrier as hard as I can.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received Academic Letters of Achievement my sophomore and junior years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I bonded with my high school teammates during events when our coaches set up volunteer opportunities with local community organizations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In my 4 years of High School I will have had a surgery in 3 out of 4 off seasons between football and baseball season. I wouldn’t say I am injury prone as I have just had some issues like Carpal Boss and I needed both elbows scoped to remove loose cartilage. Now I need shoulder surgery to repair my labrum. My future in baseball is unknown so I have switched my focus to football.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for the school that wants me. I have played a lot of private club baseball over the years. I grew tired of all of the politics that took the fun out of playing baseball. My father played football in college and I have grown up with him telling me how hard it can be but also how much he enjoyed it. I am not concerned about working hard and look forward to proving my value.
