has been one of the more productive two-way players in small school football over the last few seasons. Rhodes has been a productive offensive standout but it’s what he does on the defensive side of the ball that translates to the next level. Rhodes is very physical and can absolutely fly all over the field. Rhodes has been productive and has continued to improve his game over the last several seasons. We like what he’s done on the offensive side of the ball but he definitely projects to becoming more of a defensive standout. There is a lot of potential there.

for about two years now. We think that he’s one of the best two-way players in Class A and you can always tell who the best football players are when you get down to the smaller schools. They are the guys that do just about everything for their team. Rhodes has been just that and then some over the last few seasons and he has the Cougars as a serious contender for the Class A state championship. Last week, we got a chance to see Rhodes in person for the first time on a Friday night and he impressed. Like some of the other prospects on this breakdown, he is a tackling machine and caused a lot of problems against the top-ranked team in the class. But what makes Rhodes a strong prospect is that combined with his overall size and length.

is another one of those returning starters on defense and he’s going to end up being one of the top linebackers in Class A this fall. That’s where he was last season and he’s quickly climbing the boards when you look at the 2024 linebackers in the state. He’s been incredibly productive over the last few seasons. He finished 2022 with 150 tackles and 24 tackles for loss with ten sacks. The tackle number brought his career number up to nearly 400 tackles for his career and now he has over 50 tackles for loss. Rhodes has also seen playing time on the offensive side of the ball but we like him for what he can do at the linebacker position. Rhodes is going to be the leader of a defense that could end up being pretty special this fall.

at the linebacker position. Rhodes has been a game-wrecker since he was a freshman and physically, he’s one of the more impressive looking prospects on the team. Rhodes has racked up some incredible production over the last few seasons and he’s looking for more as we go into this season. The Cougars are once again going to be one of the top teams in Class A and we think that Rhodes and this Woodland defense could be one of the top units in the class. Rhodes is very impressive when we’ve had some limited opportunities to see him in person and we think that his recruiting stock should start to go in a positive direction this fall. He’s the perfect example of a linebacker that is going to help you and he’s rarely going to be in the wrong position. He’s going to be a good addition to whatever school ends up signing him to the next level.

, who might be flying under the radar as a small school standout. Rhodes still belongs in the group of top linebackers in the 2024 class. The physical backer passes the eye test as he’s physically impressive and then you look at the production he’s had on the field over the last few seasons and there’s another reason why he belongs. Rhodes was returning to the field in 2022 following a knee injury and you wouldn’t guess that with how he played in all three phases. That’s what you get with some of the small school programs as they use their best athlete as much as possible and that best athlete was Rhodes. It’s not often you see a linebacker returning kicks but Rhodes did it and did it well. He’s a long and rangy linebacker that just has a nose for the football and making big plays. Rhodes is must-watch prospect.

. The last time we watched Rhodes in person, we saw a big linebacker who could make plays all over the field. And that was in the spring when he was coming off an injury. Fast forward to today and Rhodes is one of the more productive linebackers in Class A and is hands down the leading tackler for this year’s Woodland team. The Cougars had somewhat of a slow start earlier in the year against a tough non-district schedule. But they have since bounced back and have a huge test this week against unbeaten Hominy. Rhodes has over 100 tackles and is racking up the tackles for loss as well as sacks. The production is there for him to be a rising prospect.
