Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1237796' first='Cooper' last='Babin'] helped St. Amant build a big lead early and had just enough left in the tank to help the Gators weather a Cecilia comeback and lead the final, game-winning drive.

As the home team fell behind for the first time in the final two minutes, Babin and company marched way downfield and back into the end zone with 12 seconds remaining to escape the thriller with a 60-56 victory.

Here's a look at eight of the eye-catchers performances from the matchup.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237796' first='Cooper' last='Babin'] — 6-0, 175 QB — St. Amant (2026)

The senior quarterback was electric with the ball in his hands early, gone in a blink for one long touchdown run after another the moment a seam presented itself — a notable feat against a defense with good athletes all over the field. And as cramps limited his explosiveness later in the game, he was more than comfortable remaining in the pocket, picking apart the defense and hitting a few well-thrown deep shots down the field. Babin finished with more than 400 yards passing, nearly 150 rushing and a combined eight touchdowns — four through the air and four on the ground.

Quinten Elisar — 5-10, 170 WR — St. Amant (2026)

The other half of the the senior duo that lifted the Gators late, Elisar's well-tracked over-the-shoudler grab in the back corner of the end zone marked his second end zone trip of the night. He was as reliable a target as any of the team's several weapons and a particular go-to for Babin in the red zone.

Landon Blanchard — 6-0, 165 WR — St. Amant (2026)

Babin was able to spread the ball around to a few different receivers, including three with catches of 35-plus yards. And Blanchard highlighted the group with a 73-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter among his receptions. Babin and Blanchard also narrowly missed connecting for another long play that likely would have gone the distance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406597' first='Ethan' last='LeBeau'] — 6-5, 295 OL — St. Amant (2027)

The Gators' big left tackle was excellent protecting Babin's blindside with enough quickness and balance to stay in front of the Bulldogs' edge rushers and the strength to overpower them once engaged and allow his quarterback plenty of time to scan the field and make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='934555' first='Braylon' last='Calais'] — 6-3, 200 ATH — Cecilia (2027)

The versatile junior athlete showed flashes of his speed, contact balance and powerful running that are part of the special athletic profile that make him one of the state's top prospects. Cecilia started coming back as Calais got more opportunities in a variety of ways including quick throws to the outside and wildcat snaps on his way to third- and fourth-down conversions, big gains and a heavy workload all the way to the end zone on the late go-ahead drive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602081' first='Jermaine' last='Davis'] — 5-8, 155 WR/ATH — Cecilia (2026)

Davis looked a bit like big brother Germonie, himself a former Bulldogs star, with his quickness and breakaway speed for some of Cecilia's biggest highlight plays on a 67-yard run and 77-yard kick return. When Jermaine gets loose on the perimeter, he can find the end zone in a hurry from anywhere on the field.

Collin Dore — 5-6, 185 QB/ATH — Cecilia (2026)

The Bulldogs' new quarterback needed to use his legs to provide his team's early offensive spark as well, cutting his way to three first-half touchdown runs, before connecting on a couple of big scoring passes in the second half.

[player_tooltip player_id='1701802' first='Jayden' last='Lewis'] — 6-3, 185 WR — Cecilia (2026)

One of the breakout or sleeper prospects to watch in Louisiana's senior class, Lewis caught our attention during his team's 7-on-7 action this summer and appears to be off to a solid start to the season. The tall target, athletic target caught four passes, including a 67-yard score among at least a couple of longer gains that put him well over 100 yards on the night.
