Today we are taking a look at some of the players to watch that we haven't covered in our previous stories about the 2024 stock-risers and 2024 newcomers.

[player_tooltip player_id="125255" first="Ryan" last="Wingo"], 6-2, 200, WR, St. Louis University High
Wingo's two older brothers both played college football in the Southeastern Conference — Ronnie Wingo was a running back at Arkansas who played in two games for the Buffalo Bills in 2013 and Raymond Wingo was a cornerback-wide receiver at the University of Missouri — and Ryan arrived at St. Louis University High School as a well-known name and a Division I prospect.
The youngest Wingo had his freshman campaign cut to just four games because of COVID issues, but the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder still recorded 10 receptions for 170 yards and two touchdowns while sharing targets with two other Division I prospects in [player_tooltip player_id="37522" first="Isaac" last="Thompson"] (Missouri commit) and [player_tooltip player_id="99449" first="Chris" last="Brooks Jr"] (Yale commit). Wingo followed up his freshman football season with a spring track campaign where he established himself as one of the state's top sprinters.
Wingo was the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2020 post-season rankings for the Class of 2024 and was an easy choice to stay there in the updated rankings. He has the size and speed of an elite Division I prospect and already has offers from Notre Dame, Florida, Missouri and Arkansas among others. 247 Sports recently ranked Wingo as the No. 6 overall prospect nationally in the Class of 2024.
The Junior Billikens have a talented cast of skilled position players this season, led by Thompson, Brooks and Wingo and including emerging 2023 tight end Zach Orthwerth and 2022 running back [player_tooltip player_id="172293" first="Derrick" last="Baker"]. It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff is able to utilize those weapons.
[player_tooltip player_id="126228" first="Beau" last="Dolan"], 6-2, 170, QB, Ladue
Ladue has established itself as one of the state's top programs in the past five years, including winning the Missouri Class 4 championship in 2018. Last year the Rams uncharacteristically went 1-4 against a difficult schedule in a COVID-shortened campaign.
One of the bright spots from last season's frustrations was the emergence of Dolan, a lefty with a strong arm, as the team's starting quarterback as a freshman. Dolan, the No. 20 overall prospect in the updated 2024 rankings and the No. 1 quarterback, completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 801 yards, with six touchdowns against two interceptions.
It wasn't a dominating debut but it does offer hope that the program is in good hands.
Ladue lost elite 2023 Division I prospect Sam M'Pemba to transfer to IMG Academy in Florida in the offseason, but the Rams return plenty of talent, led by 2022 running back-safety [player_tooltip player_id="37577" first="Jared" last="Rhodes"]. Ladue will be able to lean on Rhodes early and often this season as Dolan gets more comfortable and gains experience.
[player_tooltip player_id="126245" first="Dontrell" last="Holt"], 6-5, 285, OL, Joplin
The updated Missouri 2024 rankings include 19 offensive linemen among the 75 players ranked and several of those guys figure to emerge as legitimate Division I prospects this fall.
You can make a case for any number of those guys being worthy of the top spot among the offensive linemen, including CBC's [player_tooltip player_id="126244" first="Bryce" last="Parson"], Lutheran-St. Charles' [player_tooltip player_id="126253" first="Talan" last="Chandler"], Holt's [player_tooltip player_id="126265" first="Quinn" last="Brown"] or Eureka's [player_tooltip player_id="126226" first="Drew" last="Swingle"], among others.
One look at Joplin's Holt, the No. 7 overall prospect in the Missouri 2024 class, playing left tackle or left guard during his freshman season and it's easy to project him as a prospect whose recruitment will blow up over the next 12 months.
Joplin has another talented squad this season that will generate a lot of attention from colleges. Anyone who watches Joplin can't help but check out the big sophomore offensive lineman.
[player_tooltip player_id="126242" first="Isaiah" last="Rubio"], 6-1, 220, DL, Lutheran-St. Charles
[player_tooltip player_id="130169" first="Ayden" last="Harris"], 5-9, 190, LB, Lutheran-St. Charles
The names Rubio and Harris have been pretty popular among St. Louis area and Missouri football circles the past few years.
[player_tooltip player_id="37155" first="Gabriel" last="Rubio"] emerging as a Division I prospect at defensive tackle in the Class of 2021 and signed with Notre Dame. [player_tooltip player_id="37528" first="Arlen" last="Harris Jr"]. is a standout running back in the Class of 2022 – and the son of former NFL player and Lutheran-St. Charles coach Arlen Harris Sr. – and has committed to Stanford.
The younger Rubio and Harris brothers are ranked No. 15 and No. 16 in the updated Class of 2024 rankings and are poised to emerge this fall, though they won't necessarily have to be counted on as difference-makers because the Cougars have a loaded roster with talented players in the upper classes leading the way.
Rubio recorded 27 tackles a year ago as a freshman. Harris had 42 tackles, two interceptions and a sack from his linebacker spot and added 122 yards rushing and a touchdown.
