The third week of games on the coast didn't disappoint.

In terms of momentum-building wins, but also in players continuing to establish their 2025 trends.

We've doled out 18 games balls from games up and down the coast this week, as players from the GSPD and Lowcountry all gave us every reason to include them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820181' first='Kenard' last='Heyward'] RB, Carvers Bay and [player_tooltip player_id='1395098' first='AJ' last='Lee'] RB, Andrews

Heyward and Lee put on a clinic Friday night. Lee put up his second straight 200-yard game, as the Yellow Jackets' senior finished with 203 and three touchdowns. But Heyward got the ultimate bragging rights after the Bears won 19-18 in the in-county matchup. In the process, the 5-foot-9, 195-pound senior pounded out 158 rushing yards on 25 carries. He didn't get into the end zone, but he was able to keep moving the chains, especially in the second and third quarters, when the Bears controlled the clock and the ball. Andrews ran just four plays in those two quarters, and Carvers Bay owned a four-to-one time of possession advantage overall. Much of that was Heyward's consistent forward progress.

[player_tooltip player_id='797160' first='Moon' last='Gerald'] QB, [player_tooltip player_id='1656668' first='Khalid' last='Sherman'] WR, and [player_tooltip player_id='1821016' first='Khalil' last='Sherman'] WR, Loris

In one half of football, [player_tooltip player_id='797160' first='Moon' last='Gerald'] did what he has several times over the last 13 months - overwhelm unsuspecting opponents. What South Columbus didn't expect it, we're not sure. But it clearly wasn't ready. In the opening two quarters Friday, Gerald threw for 222 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for a sixth, a 34-yarder. [player_tooltip player_id='1656668' first='Khalid' last='Sherman'] hauled in two of the touchdowns to go along with his 139 total receiving yards while his twin brother Khalil had three catches for 45 yards and two more of the scores in the 54-14 win. Gerald now has 10 passing touchdowns this season and hasn't thrown an interception.

[player_tooltip player_id='1732605' first='Tyler' last='Meyers'] RB and Tyrell Bess DB, Cane Bay

Want to win a game against a like-sized opponent in September? It helps to have someone take charge on both sides of the ball. That's exactly what Meyers and Bess did. Meyers, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound senior, ran the ball 22 times for 144 yards and a touchdown. He was steady and - much like Carvers Bay's Heyward, kept the offense on the field. On the flip side was Bess. In his first varsity game (yes, you read correctly) the safety put up 15 total stops. Those two pushed the Cobras to a 38-21 win against West Ashley.

[player_tooltip player_id='1817711' first='Nico' last='Miller'] K/P, North Myrtle Beach

The first three weeks of the Chiefs' season have made it look there are going to be even more low-scoring affairs down the road. That means Miller's showing in the 24-12 win over West Brunswick was again vital. Take a look at his Friday night: three-for-three on PATS, made 37-yard field goal, two kickoffs inside the 5 and a nifty move on a botched snap where he still got the punt off (first clip). Miller is a perfect nine-for-nine on his scoring kicks so far (seven PATs, two field goals) through three games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1346277' first='Lorenzo' last='Kitching'] ATH, North Charleston

Both North Charleston and Baptist Hill entered Friday's game with plenty of multi-use athletes. Kitching made sure his night was better than anyone else's. The Cougars' senior - after entering the game with 56 rushing yards after two games - went off for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 15 carries. He also took a kickoff return back 87 yards for the Cougars' only other score. For good measure, he added four receptions for 17 yards and added a season-high five tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='378969' first='Jaiden' last='Kelly-Murray'] ATH, Summerville

The No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2027 rankings took charge in the Green Wave's 36-20 win over rival Berkeley. The junior caught seven passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns and added 30 yards on the ground. His first scoring grab came when he made an in-air adjustment, twisted and hauled in the reception in the end zone. His second of the night was a short catch where he turned on the jets to run through the bulk of the Stags' defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823614' first='Jordan' last='Gorham'] WR, Timberland (pictured)

Timberland's buddy star receiver is starting to look like a P4 recruit in the making. He's already got some good recruiting traction. The sophomore backed it up on the field in the Wolves' 7-6 win over nearby Cross, which entered the game No. 1in Class A. Gorham put up the only points of the game for Timberland by taking a catch into the end zone for a 65-yard score. Then, late in the game and with Timberland nursing that one-point lead, he stepped in on defense and picked off Trojans' pass to seal the victory and move the team to 3-0 on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271262' first='Alex' last='Tchoryk'] DL, Philip Simmons

In another narrow game, the Iron Horses needed their big defensive end to show out; he didn't disappoint. During a 17-6 win at Beaufort, Tchoryk recovered a fumble and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown. He also had a sack, three quarterback hurries and a second fumble recovery. Not enough? He knocked down two passes at the line. Those impact numbers are exactly what Philip Simmons has come to expect from Tchoryk, who entered the night with a pair of sacks and five tackles for loss.

Silas Brawner QB, [player_tooltip player_id='1821618' first='Jayden' last='Alexander'] WR, Tre Green WR, and [player_tooltip player_id='1821619' first='Heyward' last='Moore'] WR, Pinewood Prep

The Panthers' passing attack came alive in a big way in the lopsided win against Trinity Collegiate. Brawner finished 14-of-20 for 302 yards and five touchdowns. Moore had five of those receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Alexander also caught five for 95 and a score. And Green needed only two receptions to hit 63 yards and a touchdown of his own.

[player_tooltip player_id='473027' first='Meliq' last='McGowan'] RB, and [player_tooltip player_id='1165148' first='Jachin' last='Davis'] QB, Stratford

It's not as if Stratford has been playing no-name teams, so the fact that McGowan and Davis again spurred another decent output is telling for this Knights' squad. Much like he did against Daniel last week, Davis threw for 145 and two touchdowns on only five completions and rushed for another 140 yards and two more scores on just five carries. McGowan needed only nine carries to hit 109 yards and two touchdowns of his own. It's a big reason this offense is averaging 41 points per game through three contest.
