Caesar tracked the ball naturally and caught it cleanly with his hands, often securing passes in stride and keeping plays alive. His leaping ability adds another layer, giving him an advantage at the catch point. There’s a high ceiling here, and Caesar has the tools to keep climbing as one of the top receivers in his class in North Carolina.

95% of freshman receivers are either deep threats or gadget guys, but while Caesar can operate on screens and deep balls, he’s most comfortable over the middle of the field. He consistently wins at the top of routes, and his ball skills and body control are mature, more expected from an upperclassman than a freshman. Honestly, I just wish he were able to get the ball more often.

Caesar is in the top three in North Carolina in receiving yards, racking up 300 through the first five games of the year. Caesar has had a ton of success over the middle of the field, and his hands, ball skills, and concentration have been on full display. Caesar is a different type of receiver than most freshmen, as he’s not getting his yards on manufactured touches or deep balls, but he’s showing great route-running and the ability to win where most players don’t.
