Continue ReadingThe Dothan Wolves are ready to begin their 2021 high school football season. Competing in Class 7A is a tough spot already, but the Wolves have the talent to make the playoffs. Last season, Dothan missed the playoffs. Heading into 2021, the Wolves and head coach Smitty Grider are looking to right the ship and get the Circle City excited about a potential playoff run.
A few players from Dothan to keep an eye on are middle linebacker Korion Salter, running back Jaxston Brown, defensive back Elijah Swain and wide receiver Braxton Hornsby. The Wolves are talented on both sides of the ball. But again, Region 2 in Class 7A is loaded with talented opponents.
Dothan travels to Montgomery next Friday for an exhibition game against Bob Jones. The following week, the real season begins. As Dothan prepares to show they can be contenders, the Wolves are still in preparation for their first game.
