About Harker
Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Harker is the top talent for Evansville, and maybe in this game entirely. The dynamic LB has a few FBS offers under his belt and has been impacting Evansville as a runner, receiver, and starting LB on defense. Harker’s natural athleticism and size make him a force on offense. Get the ball in his hands and he can make fireworks. On defense the senior can play sideline to sideline and also wreck havoc rushing off the edge. If Evansville is to continue their run they will need a big night from Harker.

Evansville LB Harker Larsen Harker Larsen 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB/RB Evansville | 2027 State WI is our top ranked defensive player that is uncommitted. The senior holds offers from Air Force, Army, and Mankato. As an LB Harker checks the boxes of what you are looking for. A big frame with room to continue to add onto at 6’4″ 220 lbs. The speed to be able to effectively play sideline to sideline and blitz through gaps untouched. The natural power that shines in every movement jumps off the tape too. He has that strength that jumps off the tape as he powers through the block of an OL or delivers a punishing tackle. Harker also has developed a reliable passs rush move repertoire that has gotten him into the backfield quickly this season. The dude is getting better and better. Big things are ahead of him. Interested in seeing if other programs are going to come calling. He and Evansville are still alive in the postseason currently. The film link is from his most recent action.

Stat Line: 3 Carries, 1 Yard, 1 TD, 4 Receptions, 28 Yards
It wasn’t a ton of offensive production for the two way standout senior Harker Larsen Harker Larsen 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB/RB Evansville | 2027 State WI , but even so he still managed to find the endzone. On defense is where his home is. Harker flashed throughout the night. He was very effective as a pass rusher, showing great timing/acceleration/hand use/strength depending on how he planned to engage the OL on any particular rep. The senior is a natural athlete that can just as effectively play in coverage vs the passing game over the middle of the field. Harker is a very well rounded athlete with high level traits that will allow him to play at some of the highest levels of college football.

Stat Line: 8 Tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 Sack
One of the best defenders in the state started his senior season off on a high note. The film verifies the high level traits that the6’4″ 220 lbs senior brings to the field. It starts with him flexing his acceleration and closing burst to make a sack and one of his TFLs. Then we see the first step burst off the edge allowing him to make his 2nd TFL of the tape. The long edge defender was simply too explosive for the opposing OL and it led to Harker having a free pass into the backfield. This is one of the best available athletes in WI. You can’t talk about the best uncommitted athletes in the Class without talking about Harker.

One of the more slept on athletes in this Class is LB1, Harder Larsen, of Evansville. After some great camp performances I wasn’t the only one feeling that way, with our Midwest Director, Oliver West, expressing the same feeling after Harker’s Gopher camp efforts. Harker is such a dynamic LB. He has experience and impactful success playing inside and outside. The size, length, and athleticism give him the ability to play either at the next level. The 2027 LB also has the instincts needed to shine in the middle of a defense. The 2027 LB has been so athletically dominant that he also plays RB for the Evansville offense. Coaches, come get a steal!

After watching Evansville’s Harker Larsen Harker Larsen 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB/RB Evansville | 2027 State WI live, I’m pretty surprised at how short his offer sheet currently is. Call him underrated, call him overlooked, call him whatever, this Badger State product can play. A First Team All-Eye Test selection from the camp with verified size and eye-catching athleticism backing up his play at the PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp, Larsen was a smooth and fluid mover, showing the ability to change direction effortlessly and without wasted movement during drill work. He could also flips his hips well for his size in transition an mock coverage. Didn’t get to see his play much, unfortunately, but the tools are all there from a D1 recruitability stand point. There were a handful of Missouri Valley schools in attendance, so we’ll see if he laid the foundation for an offer in the coming weeks.

It is crazy to see how much we can match the general idea of what was selected with what we have here in WI. Giants took a freakishly large LB with excellent athletic tools. Harker has that impressive frame too, with so much room to continue to fill out in a college weight room. Larsen has the sideline to sideline range and the inside/outside versatility to line up where he gives his DC an advantage.

Harker is a fun watch on tape. You will see him on the edge as well as at ILB. Not to mention the 6’4″ 220 lbs athlete will also play RB on offense for Evansville. The raw tools to develop and carve out at the next level are there in spades. Harker has the length and is really starting to play effectively with it while on the edge. While playing off-ball LB you see the range as well as the play recognition so that he can quickly read and react. When Harker gets the chance to focus on one spot we could really see him take off at the next level. Harker’s best football is still ahea of him.
Harker currently holds offers from Army and Air Force with plenty of other interest from D1 programs. As Harker starts getting verified numbers at summer camps I am expecting to see things really take off for him.

One of the top two-way impact players is in line to be next up for his first offer. Harker looks the part of a future D1 LB with his 6’4″ 220 lbs frame and he is playing the part more and more. This past season we saw the junior at OLB and ILB. Off the edge he used that length and quick first step to rush the edge effectively. On the inside Larsen has easy range, going sideline to sideline. He also flashed strong instincts and the ability to quickly breakdown plays. The power that the LB/RB plays with is undeniable too. He can power through OL on defense and as a ball carrier there are so many examples of his powerful lower body moving the pile. Harker is on the raw size, but he is developing and the traits that he has you can’t teach. Don’t miss out. Check out the tape below.
