Commitment Report: Kedrik Osuorah/St. Cloud Tech (2020)

ST. CLOUD-- Nate from Northstar Football News caught up with St. Cloud Tech's </a></a> who recently committed to play for the Reivers at Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, Iowa. What Sold Osuorah on IWCC Kedrik always wanted to go to the Jayhawk Conference it's "the biggest JUCO conference in the nation" he told Northstar Football News. With only being six hours from St. Cloud that distance was also not a bad drive from home. The other two items that came into play with his decision was the outstanding facilities that IWCC has been a very good program lately, as they were 9-3 last season and produced a good amount of Division I talent. Another plus for Osuorah is that the Reivers have an opening at running back for next season, in which if he works hard that position could be his for the taking. Other Recruiting Interest Osuorah had another JUCO offer from the North Dakota College of Science, just an hour outside of Fargo in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He liked the love Coach Issendorf showed me at NDCS but with Kedrik's strong interest in being in the Jayhawk Conference, once he got the offer from IWCC he was all in on the Reivers program. Changes at the Next Level Kedrik told us he'll have to use his quickness at a higher level at IWCC. Osuorah is not the biggest player IWCC has ever had, so he will have to adjust to playing against players that are taller and bigger at and around his position. He'll have to use his agile footwork to make the taller, bigger players miss when he's in the backfield. He said with the athleticism the Reivers and the Jayhawk Conference has, he also is ready to take some tougher hits at the next level. "I didn't get my bell rung in my senior season, but I have multiple times before then and I always took it like a champ and went on to the next play," he told Northstar Football News. Osuorah feels taking big hits again might motivate his drive to succeed in the coming 2020-2021 football season. Who Impacted Osuorah's Decision to go to IWCC When I had interviewed Kedrik in his past recruiting report that you can read here, he talked a lot about his football coach at St. Cloud Tech, Coach Benson. Benson and his new football coach, Coach Strohmeier went to college together and were good friends during those days. Benson told Kedrik great things about him and when he went down to Council Bluffs, he got the vibe he was looking for and was told about as he called Strohmeier a "great, straightforward guy," from what he told Northstar Football News.
