Goldacker started last year for Carroll and had the type of year you're hoping for when you first go out there. He got reps, made plays, and gained confidence. He's a true interior defensive lineman and seems to understand his strengths and what he does well. He's strong enough to shed blocks and has enough length to make tackles as they cross by. He has decent gap integrity and doesn't get out of position. Simple things go a long way on the field, and Goldacker avoids those little mistakes. 31 tackles and 5 TFLs upfront in year 1 was a good start, but I'm excited to see him build on that.

Agunnane is a good-looking Edge prospect out of Homestead who has the length and strength you want from someone on the outside. He's able to get around the edge with speed where needed as well. He seems to have a decent motor and doesn't take reps off. If he doesn't get home, he knows to get his arms up, and it's already helped him make plays. In year 1 of starting, he put up 17 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 interception, 4 passes deflected, and forced 1 fumble. I think he takes that big step this fall and puts himself on the map.

Gates got his feet wet this year and made a few plays. I believe he'll be set to start this upcoming fall, and you can tell he's been in the weight room. He's put on about 30lbs of muscle over the past year and has started filling out his frame. He's got a good burst off the line and doesn't wander out of his lane. He made his first few tackles and TFLs last year, but that was with limited opportunity. Reitz is a good program, and he's had to earn reps as they come, but he doesn't seem afraid of the competition, and I think he flourishes this fall.

Wright is a big body at 6'3" 300, and over the past year he's really started to add the burst and strength you want to see behind that frame. He looks more explosive now and shows flashes of being able to overpower guys in front of him. He's moving in the right direction, and if he stays on this path and keeps working, I think he's got real potential to break out and become a difference maker up front.

Searfoss got the start last year and looked good right away. He's got a physical frame and puts in time in the weight room, which shows up in how he plays. He's able to create pressure when he rushes and doesn't shy away from contact. Last season, he finished with 34 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, and 1 interception. I think as he keeps building confidence and sharpening his technique, he has a real chance to take another step forward this fall.
