Indiana 2027: Rising Edge Rushers and Defensive Front Talent

He got reps, made plays, and gained confidence. He's a true interior defensive lineman and seems to understand his strengths and what he does well. He's strong enough to shed blocks and has enough length to make tackles as they cross by. He has decent gap integrity and doesn't get out of position. He's able to get around the edge with speed where needed as well. He seems to have a decent motor and doesn't take reps off. If he doesn't get home, he knows to get his arms up, and it's already helped him make plays. In year 1 of starting, he put up 17 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 interception, 4 passes deflected, and forced 1 fumble. I believe he'll be set to start this upcoming fall, and you can tell he's been in the weight room. He's put on about 30lbs of muscle over the past year and has started filling out his frame. He's got a good burst off the line and doesn't wander out of his lane. He made his first few tackles and TFLs last year, but that was with limited opportunity. He looks more explosive now and shows flashes of being able to overpower guys in front of him. He's got a physical frame and puts in time in the weight room, which shows up in how he plays. He's able to create pressure when he rushes and doesn't shy away from contact. Last season, he finished with 34 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, and 1 interception.
