Mile Markers: I-75

To kick off this new series, we take a trip down I-75 in Georgia to cover some new prospects you could find right off the interstate.    [player_tooltip player_id='1698150' first='Jeremiah' last='Frost'] is an underrated, yet productive RB prospect with good size and athletic markers in the form of an 11.44 100M. I like his size at 5'11 195. He is stout and rolls tacklers off him. He is a master at taking the yards available. All around, he is a solid RB who plays the position well, has good size, and has adequate speed for the position. I think he's one of the best RBs in the NW corner of Georgia and deserves more love than he's getting.     Ayden Ashlock is an underrated, yet eye-catching TE prospect with good size. The flashes on tape catch your eye. He plays both ways, but projects long-term as a TE. As a defender, he uses his length to strike, shed, extend, and set the edge. He is quick out of his stance as a receiver and is a smooth glider across each level of the defense. He is a strong breakout candidate and I am waiting to see if he adds some more pop and electricity as a junior.     Coats is a shockingly underrated rising senior who plays with some flashes of violence and hustle in the second level. He plays a good mix of on and off the ball as a LB, he has the size and athletic traits to translate that versatility to the next level. He is quick to diagnose, scrappy against blocks, and explosive. He is quick out of his stance and rallies hard after the football. At the point of attack, he has the play strength to engulf ball carriers and effortlessly wrestle them to the ground. North Atlanta's defense had some high-profile defenders last year, but Coats was an unsung hero and deserves more love for his production, size, speed, and motor.     Austin Hodge has a few offers under his belt up to this point, but this is my first real look at him. Might not immediately draw your eyes with his size at corner, but he is big and has enough length to generate FBS buzz, which he has. Hodge is mean-mannered and energetic. He aggressively drives downhill and isn't afraid to thump. He does a good job of getting his hands on receivers at the top of the route and continues to remain pesky to disrupt timing. He is overall a solid athlete and smooth mover. Hodge has tacked on FBS offers, and for good reason.     I like what I see early on from Wyatt Garfinkle and am excited to see how he grows and develops. He is still in the infancy stage of his football growth, learning how to move and developing more horsepower on his throws. However, he looks to have a natural feel for the position and is a natural athlete. He does an excellent job of sensing pressure and stepping up to evade it. He is a smooth thrower on the move. Long term, I see him developing into an athletic QB who can make plays on the move and tap into different arm angles. He is another breakout candidate and someone I am excited to watch grow.     Jayden Desnoyer is long, lanky, underrated rising senior DB I want to put on the radar for some smaller schools. I think there is some meat on the bone here. He is tall and lanky with room to add more weight. He is also a T/F hurdler, indicating natural athleticism. He is fluid in the hips, easily opening up to run and track the ball over both shoulders. He is often in recovery mode, so he will need to develop an extra gear to stick at corner. Regardless, the foundation is here to build on, so I thought he was worthy of a mention.     McCord is a sturdy rising senior OL prospect who spends most of his time at RT, but projects best on the inside. He consistently displaces defenders, picking them up and driving his feet to escort them out of the picture. He plays with good pad level and solid balance for his size. He doesn't possess elite foot speed, but he keeps his feet active, which allows him to compensate and size up defenders. McCord is quiet as a prospect and is more than equipped to generate small-school recruiting attention over the next several months.     Win Hoots is a natural athlete and is already receiving some FBS recruiting attention. His multi-sport context is impressive, tripling as a productive football player, a noteworthy baseball prospect, and a T/F resume that consists of an 11.19 100M. Can't verify his size, but he looks to stand around 5'11. He plays both ways, but impresses most at CB. His instincts are great at that spot, matching receivers at the top of their stem and running the routes for them. He has fluid hips, allowing him to get his head around and track the ball. He has good ball skills and does a fantastic job of rising through the hands of receivers. Hoots is a small school prospect, but is dominating in every sport he plays and already has a pair of D1 offers to show off.     Slimp is a fun watch at the QB spot and ushers over a lot of experience into his senior season. His combination of athleticism and toughness is my biggest takeaway from his tape. He has the twitch to evade pressure and tack on yards in space. He will hang back an extra second when he throws to take on contact and will drop his shoulder to run through would-be tacklers. He isn't an elite arm talent, but he gets the ball out quickly and plays on time with his receivers. He holds a small school offer from Reinhardt.
