Landon is a player who I’ve seen multiple times over the last year and always stands out. A wide receiver with good size and physicality and a skill set that translates well to the next level, he’s a player that is being looked over by schools right now.
Back in last spring at the National Preps Showcase, Landon stood our running a verified 4.5 forty and showing off strong route running and sneaky suddenness. So far this season Landon is making impact play after impact play. I was at Linganore’s game vs Oakdale where Landon opened up the offensive explosion for the Lancers with a 56yd TD reception. Beating the defender over the top with his speed, tracking the ball well to make the over the shoulder catch, shaking off the attempted tackled and going in for the score. He did it again this past weekend with a 53yd TD against Middletown. Effective in the return game as well, Landon has had a KR and PR for a score already this season. He’s a versatile weapon, able to play on the defensive side as well, and is always good for at least one big game impacting play a game.
With that consistency in his game paired with his strong route running, natural hands and breakaway speed…Landon is a prospect that will continue to make plays at the college level. With all those things going for him I think a FCS school still looking for a WR for their rotation should be looking hard at Landon, as well as being a sure fire D2 offer kid. Look for Landon to be an all area player this season as Linganore continues their strong undefeated season.
