In case you missed it, we released the 2028 Top 50 earlier this week. These prospects just finished up their freshman seasons and there are quite a few that have already made names for themselves. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at four prospects that we have listed as athletes in this update because of their versatility and ability to play and make an impact at multiple positions.
Westmoore's [player_tooltip player_id='451430' first='Tommalik' last='Benson'] is knocking on the door of being a top five prospect and it's very simple why. He wins. Every single time we've watched Benson in person, he's been one of the best players on the field. It started at our January camp, when he earned MVP honors. He continued that dominant play at two of our 7v7 tournaments this spring. We then caught him in person and with the pads on at the Bixby team camp and he was making play after play. It doesn't matter if he's lining up as a wide receiver or a cornerback, Benson is an absolute playmaker and a star in the making. There are not many prospects that impressed us more from January to May this offseason than Benson so we're buying up all the stock in the potential Westmoore star.

Piedmont's [player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] was one of the first prospects in the state's 2028 class to earn a D1 offer. That certainly got our attention and he's continued to impress from there. Like Benson, Rallo came to our January camp and that was the first time we caught the Piedmont speedster in person. He was one of the fastest prospects in attendance and it was clear that he had that extra gear that not many other guys had. Rallo is in the middle of making the rounds on the camp scene at various college campuses. We think that Piedmont has the potential to make some noise this season and Rallo is a big reason why. He's another example of a Piedmont standout that's going to be able to impact the game in so many different ways.

Moore's [player_tooltip player_id='1539460' first='Reggie' last='Butler'] was teammates with Benson on their travel 7v7 team this offseason so we got a chance to see a lot of Butler as well. Similar to Benson, he was a player that impressed us on both sides of the ball and for us, it's still pretty early to figure out which side of the ball we like him on. Looking back at some of our notes, he also stood out back in January at our camp and was one of the faster guys in attendance. Butler is also one of the '28 prospects that is on our shortlist to watch in person with the pads on. We caught Moore in person last month but Butler was not in action that day. But based on the video that we've watched and what we've seen from him in camp and 7v7 settings, he's impressed.

It feels like Plainview has had a steady run of long athletes that come through the program that can impact the game in a variety of ways. The Indians are going into the 2025 season under a new head coach but they might have another potential star coming up. [player_tooltip player_id='1259549' first='Dominique' last='Coursey'] saw limited playing time last year as a freshman but when he was on the field, he had a significant impact on offense and special teams. And the frame will make him a player to watch, no matter where he's lining up on the field. But out of the four prospects on this breakdown, he's the prospect that we have the least info on. His ceiling could be significantly higher moving forward but we just need to see more film and hopefully catch him in person.
