Ryan is a very interesting prospect. His tape from last season is a bit limited, but he showed some promising flashes. Starting with a great punch. Kerr drives his hand as soon as the ball is snapped, and knocks the defender off balance. He’s a tenacious blocker that can get under his assignments pads and drive block downfield. He’s also showed some solid flashes as a pass blocker, being able to counter both finesse and power rushers. I think a solid camp season for Ryan would likely earn him some significant attention on the recruiting trail.

Ryan checks several boxes. He’s a tall O-lineman with great effort, good agility, and promising bend.
I got a decent look at him in his game against Mt. Pleasant, and I’m highly confident he’ll be able to fill the shoes of OL1 next season. I’m not sure exactly how tall Ryan is, and he’s still a bit raw with the fundamentals. Though he has the basics down. A few great in-person showings at camps, and he could he a college prospect this offseason. Even if he’s a little raw in some areas, size, bend, and agility can go a long way.

Ryan looks the part, and plays the part. I watched Ryan during nearly the entire first quarter, and he played great. Pass blocking, he’s got the basics down. Hands up, solid balance, and great bend. I also liked Ryan’s all-around run blocking. Good footwork, and always played to the whistle.
I really like Ryan’s mentality. He’s a good left tackle, and has a goot shot at being a college prospect next offseason.
