Friday was named 4A Junior All-State as a defensive lineman, recording 64 total tackles and 15 tackles for loss, with 12 sacks to boot. With good first step quickness and twitch, Friday comes off the line of scrimmage with good burst, has a nose for the ball and loves to hit quarterbacks.

Friday has stacked two solid seasons together, but this past year, he took it up a notch with how often he was in the backfield. After putting up 4 sacks and 7 TFLs as a sophomore, he jumped to 12 sacks and 15 TFLs as a junior and looked far more comfortable creating pressure off the edge. He’s got a good feel for timing his get-off, uses his hands well, and doesn’t quit on plays. If that continues the development, he could be one of the more productive edge guys in the class.
