The Prep Redzone Combine Series continued in Oregon yesterday with a bunch of all conference and all state talent showing up and performing well. Here we will breakdown the MVP's and also talk on the top offensive and defensive performers with back-to-back articles coming right after.

OVERALL MVP

[player_tooltip player_id='1667982' first='Reece' last='Underwood'] 6-2 170 26' Tualatin

Underwood was the consensus overall MVP among the coaches. His ability to patrol the secondary and disrupt routes was consistent all day. He makes the move to Tualatin after an honorable mention all-conference season at Lakeridge last year. Separate from his impressive play he's added size and length to his frame and will be listed among the top DB's in the state.

QB

[player_tooltip player_id='1673573' first='Kaeden' last='Emerson'] 6-4 195 26' Oregon City

Definitely one of the breakout performers at the event. Emerson will take over for three-year starter [player_tooltip player_id='406768' first='Ben' last='Schneider'] who graduates. He has the potential of doing well in the NW's toughest conference with talented guys all around him, including 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1242623' first='Cavan' last='Rogers']. It will all come down to whether or not he can come in as a relatively inexperienced senior and lead OC in the brutally tough TRL.

WR

[player_tooltip player_id='770007' first='Logan' last='Uitto'] 6-1 185 26' Silverton

The do it all kid out of Silverton would have likely been the runner up overall MVP if there was one. He earned all-conference honors on O, D, and as a return man as a junior and will project as a 5A 1st team all-state selection at WR. His overall physicality and speed were a tough matchup for all.

LB

[player_tooltip player_id='1629314' first='Jacob' last='Gorman'] 6-3 215 26' Jesuit

You can expect Gorman to make a nice jump up the rankings board when updated. He put up some impressive numbers as a junior but went somewhat under the radar. His stat line was one of the best in the state finishing with 70 tackles, 17 TFL's, and 9 sacks. He moved well all-day side to side and showed off a legit burst of speed when in coverage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1566150' first='Cohen' last='Trump'] 5-10 195 27' Westview

Trump was a state leader in multiple statistical categories, finishing with 80 tackles, 9 TFL's, and 4 sacks last season. His ability to cover and track opponents was unique. He was hands down one of the most noteworthy players in attendance.

DB

[player_tooltip player_id='937116' first='Jackson' last='Morris'] 5-9 165 27' Tigard

Morris had a big day beating out fellow 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1566153' first='Mason' last='Frederickson'] of Sandy who was a 1st team All Mt Hood selection as a sophomore. He definitely put himself on the map and showed that he could play with the top players in the TRL. Expect him to assume a key role as part of a talented 2027 class at Tigard.

LINE

[player_tooltip player_id='402396' first='Brennan' last='Mesa'] 6-3 250 DE South Albany

Give Mesa a lot of credit as he is tough, moves well, and can play on either side of the ball. From a projection standpoint you have to like what he brings to the table, providing options positionally at the next level. He was an all-conference selection as a junior.
