The wing back has the tools to stretch the defense. He can be patient and pull the defense laterally while reading his blocks and then burst through gaps and into the open for big gains. The 180 lbs RB will also run with contact balance, taking hits and breaking tackles. Things look to be lined up for the 2028 RB to have a key role on Friday nights for the Hodags.

The Rhinelander RB is starting 2026 off with a strong verification of what he brings to the field and what he will be leaning on as he looks to take over in the Rhinelander backfield this fall. Matthew checked in just over 5’9″ 173 lbs, ran a 4.85, jumped 31.8″ in the vertical, blazed a strong 7.12 L-Drill, and jumped a pair of 9’2″ broad jumps. The explosive numbers match the agile runner you see on tape, and the 2028 showed that he has the speed to be able to break off those big plays after creating space with his explosive agility.
