Liam Eder Linell – I love where he currently sits on our New England rankings, and honestly, he may deserve another bump. Currently ranked inside the Top 100 overall and Top 10 at his position among New England’s 2028 class. This is an offerable prospect today. I would not be surprised if several Ivy League programs are already preparing serious offers. The size is real. He looks more like a power forward than a traditional edge prospect. As he continues transitioning from linebacker to edge on our site, I could easily see another jump in the rankings. One of my five favorite overall performers from the event.

After evaluation of Liam’s 2025 season highlight film, he stands out as a high-upside stock riser, particularly when projecting forward to the college level. Possessing an imposing frame at 6’4”, 240 pounds, Liam immediately passes the eye test, but what elevates his evaluation is how well he moves relative to his size.

Liam consistently shows sound tackling angles and controlled pursuit, allowing him to arrive on balance and finish with authority. He is a reliable tackler who brings his size and strength through contact, and he demonstrates a natural feel for timing and leverage at the point of attack. His ability to disengage from blocks stands out, as he utilizes a combination of power, hand usage, and body control rather than relying solely on mass.

For a linebacker of his size, Liam’s lateral mobility is particularly encouraging. He tracks plays effectively toward the edge and boundary, demonstrating the ability to remain involved outside the tackle box. Once he identifies the football, he closes ground quickly and finishes decisively, limiting second-effort yards.

From an instinctive standpoint, Liam plays with a natural awareness of the football, consistently putting himself in the right area and reacting efficiently as plays unfold. For a younger linebacker, his skill set is already well-rounded, suggesting strong coachability and significant developmental runway.

Based on his 2025 film, Liam profiles as a long-term investment at linebacker, with the physical tools and foundational skills that college staff covet. With continued refinement and experience, he has the potential to develop into a cornerstone second-level defender at the collegiate level.

Liam has strong measureables for a class of 2028 linebacker, standing at 6’3″ and 230 lbs. He was productive in his 6 freshman starts, accounting for 45 tackles. Liam in an interior LB that loves contact. He reads his keys well and fills his gap. Liam is a reliable tackler and has a nose for finding the football. I expect Liam to continue to develop into a top linebacker in the class of 2028.

Liam performed well in measurables, showing good strength and lateral movement. He has quick feet and and get into gaps quickly. He shows good tackling on film, but is more impressive in person. Bright future on this young LB.
