West Craven | 2029 StateNC where do I even start, This guy is a GAMECHANGER! Christopher is an amazing athlete that can play the quarterback position and also DB and WR exceptionally well. At Wide Receiver he ran his routes hard and very crisp which led to him making a lot of catches. Meanwhile at Quarterback position he has a smooth release and he excels on throwing on the run. Christopher has remarkable coverage skills and i have no doubt in my mind that he is a star in the making coming out of North Carolina.
Chris Person is a good athlete who played as a quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back at the Prep Redzone Dual 7-on-7 tournament. He is a good athlete who made plays all over the field for his CPI Seminoles team. As a quarterback, he shows a good ability to throw the ball. He was especially good at throwing on the run. He was used on sprint out passing at a high clip, and he excelled at it. Then, as a wide receiver, he made a ton of catches. He is excellent at catching the ball in between defenders. He is fluid getting in and out of his breaks. Then, as a defensive back, he showed excellent coverage skills. Person is a good two-way player from North Carolina. He is a star in the making.
Person plays some quarterback, but we have him listed as an athlete because we really aren’t sure which side of the ball — or position — he’ll end up playing on. He’s electric with the ball in his hands, and he can make defenders miss with ease. He’s also a cover corner, and we could see him growing into that role as well. Wherever he lines up, know that he can make an impact on the game.
While Person isn’t likely to get much playing time at the quarterback position as a freshman, given the depth chart there, he might be hard to keep off the field. He’s a guy we’ve seen in a camp setting and we really like both his arm and athleticism. He’s a two-way player who could play at multiple defensive back positions before ultimately moving back to full-time quarterback later in his career.
