A returning starter from last season who is also a two-sport athlete (Football/Track), Faux has shown the ability to play a range of positions successfully. He's seen significant time as both a QB and a WR. At either position, his speed and athleticism are his most eye-catching traits. Faux is able to create a ton of separation as a receiver and adjusts super well to poorly thrown passes. As a QB, he is a serious threat running the ball. Look out for Faux to make an impact at either position next season.

It's not hard to find nice things to say about Rodemeyer. 4.0 GPA, three-sport athlete (Football/Basketball/Track) returning All-District, All-Conference, the list goes on and on. As a sophomore, Rodemeyer passed for over 1,000 yards on a stunning 65% completion percentage. His tape is also super impressive. It opens up with a perfectly placed deep ball thrown off platform and on the run. This theme is prevalent throughout his film. Top-notch ball placement on every route across the field, and he's only a 2027. Expect Rodemeyer to draw eyes during his junior season.

The returning starter for Faribault, Siemers returns after a successful sophomore campaign that saw him shoot up the rankings to the #16 QB in his class. The gunslinging lefty isn't quite at dual-threat status yet, but he's definitely athletic enough to avoid sacks in the pocket, and take short designed runs when asked. He throws posts and corners very well, and can take big hits in the pocket if it means delivering a good ball to his wideouts.

A three-sport (Football/Basketball/Baseball) athlete who has made waves on the baseball diamond, Ellingson is a dual-threat QB who could take a big leap during his senior year. His most impressive attribute as a QB is easily the velo he puts on each ball. Between that and a surprisingly big arm, Ellingson has shown the ability to dot up receivers at all three levels of the field. He throws seams on a rope and is plenty adept with the ball in his hands when he's scrambling. At his best, Ellingson is a massive problem for defenses.

A baseball standout who has seen success on the gridiron, Babcock is a QB with a high ceiling to watch going into the 2025 season. He doesn't have a ton of film from his junior year, but what he does have is encouraging. He's got a funky release, and because of this, he's able to throw the ball at all sorts of arm angles. This, combined with his fast feet, imposing frame, and big arm, makes him an intriguing x-factor in 2025.

A starter as a true freshman for historical powerhouse Hutchinson, Rostberg doesn't have any film from his freshman campaign, but there is typically a gigantic leap in talent and production between an athlete's freshman and sophomore year. As a freshman, Rostberg started 9 games, went 46/98 for 778 yards and 5 TDs. I wouldn't be doing my job properly if I didn't mention Rostberg's potential for a sizeable sophomore year elevation of his production.

In my opinion, Maeyaert is one of the most underrated QBs in AAAA. A returning starter who is a three-sport (Football/Basketball/Baseball) athlete with a 4.0+ GPA, he checks all the boxes you look for in a prospect. Boasting quick feet from under center and an arm talent uncommon for a AAAA athlete, I think Maeyaert is due for a massive senior year. At first, you might not expect him to be mobile, but he's a borderline dual-threat athlete. He can make defenders miss with his legs and shows off good decision-making with the rock in his hands. The Marshall gunslinger needs far more hype ahead of this fall.

Another returning starter freshman QB with four-year starter potential, Castleman is another three-sport (Football/Basketball/Baseball) athlete who isn't getting the love he deserves. Castleman passes the eye test immediately, he looks physically far more developed than most athletes his age. On his tape, Castleman shines as a passer who can break tackles within the pocket. He's got the arm to loft balls far downfield, but can also rip balls into tight windows on short routes. This 2028 class of QBs looks special, and Castleman is easily on that list.

A two-sport athlete (Football/Baseball) and returning starter with a 4.1 GPA, Fredin is one of my picks for the most underrated 2026 QB. He threw for over 800 yards and 8 TDs last season on a 54.5% completion percentage, with 150 more yards on the ground. He's got a great frame and an uncanny talent for throwing dimes off one foot. Some of his ball placements, particularly on off-platform and deep throws, are jaw-dropping. Fredin is a playmaker, and I hope he starts to get the recognition he deserves.
