Kaphing first stood out to me during the testing portion, with a hyper-impressive 4.28 shuttle drill and nearly a 30″ vert (29.6″). When he entered the throwing portion of a camp, I thought he generally proved to be an effective passer, with solid accuracy and ball placement, especially on routes beneath 15 yards. In an open QB room, Kaphing could contend for a varsity spot as a sophomore, but if he gets another year to develop, that could only stand to help him. Either way, a prospect to remember for the future.
