Kanak plays with a wide base and can get hands on defenders quickly. He can play a bit high at times, but can get down quickly in the run game and looks to finish every block. He plays with improved posture from last season, and has improved technique in pass pro. Lots of improvement for a player now in a higher division and on a new team.

Kanak is a well sized athlete that has very good body control. The Lawrence Academy OL is physical with his hands and does a good job of finishing blocks. He has good feet and agility when in pass protection. The Hopkinton product is very good once he is able to control the defender and has them within his reach. Kanak is a high motor athlete that finishes plays all throughout his film. His ability to be versatile and mobile for his size will make him a very sought after college prospect in the next few years. Taking the jump to Lawrence Academy will be great for his development and overall recruiting.

Kanak had a great camp, earning lots of commentary from college coaches. As he continues to work on his pad level, its clear that he can drive players off the ball, and moves well in pass protection. He shows good IQ, and is very coachable. He has good size and skills and will be a player to watch this summer.
