Prep Redzone Iowa last wrote about Wesselmann last year, when he was coming off a memorable sophomore campaign at Gilbert. We decided to check in for an update on what Wesselmann accomplished as an 11th-grader, which he showed during his highlight video. He managed 4.5 tackles, three of which were solo stops, and recovered a fumble. Wesselmann’s greatest impact occurred on the offensive front, however. The film opens with him pancaking the opponent and continues with him handing them out like iHop. Wesslemann succeeds with strength and power, but he’s also agile and moves well for the big guy. His hands are very active and longer arms help him control the defensive lineman in pass protection. Wesselmann operates with balance and slick feet.
