Recruiting/Player Profile: Kedrik Osuorah/St. Cloud Tech (2020)

We end our day in St. Cloud, as we chat with 2020 NFN prospect <strong> </strong>who already has one offer on the table, but is still in the "hunt" for his college football future away from St. Cloud Tech High School. We chatted with him about his season, his college interest, and more. <strong>Get to Know </strong> Osuorah is a versatile ATH that played anywhere on the field during his time with the Tigers. He played running back, wide receiver, kick return, punt return, defensive back, and linebacker. In college, Osuorah looks to play wide receiver at the next level, but he's "willing to outwork anybody" wherever he ends up. His ample time on the field and in the weight room has gotten him to where he wants to be at this stage. His strengths are his quickness and his strength he has gained. He runs a 4.47 40 yard dash and has maxed out on benchpress at 315 pounds as well as with his clean lifts. As far as squatting, which gives running backs/wide receivers great strength in their legs, he hit 600 pounds this summer. Some other strengths Osuorah has is his ability to be coached, his heart of the game, and his work ethic. <strong>Favorite Parts About His Positions</strong> As a running back for the Tigers, Osuorah enjoyed "pounding the rock" to wear the defense out. As far as a wide receiver, he enjoyed it when he would burn the defender with his solid route running and catch the ball and get yards after the catch. For the defensive back, his favorite was being in coverage as he loved to "lockdown" defenders. As for linebacker, it's all about the action for Osuorah, making hits and always being involved in almost every play was his favorite. <strong>College Interest</strong> As of right now, Kedrik has one JUCO offer from the North Dakota College of Science which is located on the Minnesota border in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He also is showing interest from Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids and Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, Iowa which is two more JUCO programs here in the Midwest. <strong>Improvements from the Offseason</strong> The biggest thing Osuorah learned from his junior season was he needed to put on weight if he was going to get the "next level" of playing running back. As soon as the Tigers season ended, Osuorah started doing two 5 AM workouts every week as well as practicing for the Tigers basketball team and doing two days of late workouts after basketball practice was over. As for his spring, he joined the track team but continued his 5 AM workout schedule each week. Then once summer sessions hit it was 4 practices a week, 3 being lifting focused days. The best part is that through this training, Osuorah put on 10 pounds and hit his goal just like he set it. <strong>Kedrik's Mentor</strong> Kedrik has great respect for his head football coach, <strong>Jon Benson </strong>as he was the guy picking him up for those 5 AM workouts al the time. Benson is in charge of the entire workout program for the St. Cloud Tech Tigers and has been a great role model and motivator to Kedrik as well. <strong>Learning from This Season</strong> The biggest learn Osuorah had learned was building on team success. The Tigers finished their season 5-3 and that's because everyone cared about team success. "If everyone cares about team success and getting the win, personal success will come later and you will feel better overall," he told Northstar Football News about his Tiger's team. Osuorah also learned about overcoming adversity and said how when he started 5 AM workouts, he'd get tired of them but then when he was the only senior doing 5 AM workouts (afternoon workouts were an option) he said it made him feel better that he was working hard to be the best senior for the Tigers of St. Cloud Tech.
