Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A breakout 2027 back in Middle Georgia to keep a close eye on this year, Brown has enough burst and explosiveness to break off a big run any time he has the ball. He’s shifty, slippery, and does a good job of hiding behind his linemen before flying through an open hole. He’s a big-play back and is fresh off a massive week one game where he ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns on just 11 carries. That’s an impressive average of 14.7 yards per carry. He also made one big catch out of the backfield that he took 54 yards for another touchdown. His stock is on the rise and opposing defenses better are going to play their best in order to stop him this season.

An elusive, creative back out of Middle Georgia in Jackson who does a great job of seeing the defense and finding holes to run through, Brown opened some eyes last year as a sophomore where he rushed for 578 yards and seven touchdowns in just seven games. He rushed for 100+ yards in four of those seven games, hitting the 140-yard mark in two of them. The 5-foot-9 180-pounder had his best game against Westside where he rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He’s now ranked as the No. 38 RB and the No. 235 overall player in the state.

Another Middle Georgia back flying under the radar, Brown is a tackle-breaking back with above-average athleticism, good balance, and the ability to put the Jackson offense on his back. He played in only seven games, but he ran for 578 yards and seven touchdowns, going over the 100-yard mark in four of his seven games. He’s one of the best 2027 backs in the area and will be added to the latest 2027 rankings this spring.
