Cordova doesn’t play like a sophomore—he plays like a star in the making. At 6’3″ with elite closing speed and fluid hips, he posted 72 tackles (43 solo), three tackles for loss, a sack, and a stat sheet full of chaos: two QB hurries, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, and a defensive score. He’s the kind of athlete who flips games—and projects as a future household name.

Pueblo South has a plethora of young talent, and Cordova is no different. Measuring in at 6’3 185-pounds, Cordova played WR/DE. He had 14 receptions for 347 yards and 1 touchdown, 72 total tackles (43 solo, 29 assisted), 3 TFL, 1 sack, 2 QB hurries, 1 FF, 2 FR, 1 PD, and 1 pick 6. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, and lateral quickness. Elite competitive toughness. On multiple plays, he’ll get into the backfield, barely missing the QB. That doesn’t stop him, he’ll run 30+ yards downfield to be the first one tackling the WR or RB. It’s VERY uncommon for a defensive end to give that much of an extra effort. Cordova is a very physical player and a hard hitter. He has a low pad level, and good hand placement to move the OL around. Very good spin move, and good bull rush to knock them off their toes. Kid’s a monster, he brought a tipped pass back to the endzone. I’m beyond impressed with this kid.
