is a playmaker who did a little bit of everything for Archbishop Wood. On offense, he played as a wide receiver, running back, and quarterback. At all 3 positions, he was a playmaker. As a wide receiver, he showed a great ability to catch the ball in traffic and make difficult catches. Then, as a quarterback and running back, he was used mostly as a runner. He showed a good ability to run through contact. As a quarterback, he showed a good arm. On one play, I saw him complete a post pass. It was a perfect pass. Then, as a running back, he shows good speed and quickness as well. Then, on defense, he showed up as a cornerback, making a ton of plays on the ball. Melcher is a talented player on both sides of the ball.

did a good job of throwing at the combine. He was consistent throughout the combine. He especially did a good job of throwing the ball to the receivers during practice. His mechanics and footwork overall are good, but at times, he can get sloppy. He needs to continue to work on his footwork and do a good job of throwing the ball. Melcher has the tools to be even better next season.

throw at the Showcase. Looking at his film, he shows an accurate ball and a strong arm. I am excited to see how strong his arm is. I am interested to see how he throws a deep ball and whether he puts the perfect amount of touch on the ball. Overall, it will be a good opportunity for Melcher to perform.
